Julie's Art Room
As many of you know, I like to
dabble in many
crafts. When we moved to California, Bill said I could have a room
devoted
to my crafts in the new house. I think it was really his way of keeping
my mess away from the rest of the house, but whatever the reason, I
love
the result.
I feel very fortunate to have a
loving
husband who supports my artistic efforts and allows me to spend our
money
to create a wonderful room to be creative in. Although, he says that if
I can't keep the room clean now, there is no helping me.
I guess there is no helping me.
Here's some pictures of the room.

View from
the Door
Looking in the room from the
door you
can see the desk and the white shelves that hold my stamps. I turned
the
shelved sideways and built 1 1/2 inch high shelves that rest on 1/4
round
molding. On top of the stamp storage unit I have my embossing station.
Behind the stamp storage shelf is a round container with my rolls of
specialty
papers. |

View of my
Desk
Bill helped me build this L
shaped
desk.
It works great. My main work surface contains a large cutting mat, my
Ott
light, my tv and miscellaneous supplies. Under the desk I have 2 Iris
carts and 1 file cabinet, The file cabinet holds my patterns and class
handouts. The
Iris carts hold specialty paper, embossing powders, and Radiant Pearls.
Behind my desk are 4 more Iris carts. These hold my most frequently
used supplies. On top of these I store my Markers, paint brushes and
Ink Pads in 2 revolving holders. |

Right of the
Door
A large bookshelf is
immediately to the
right of the door that contains my art books and magazines. Next to it
are two paper organizers, which hold my cardstock and text weight
paper.
This corner of the room contains my mom's original drafting table with
my Genesis paper cutter. Inside the table is my reinkers and spray
stuff,
and extra bulk embossing powder. |

Looking toward
the closet
The Clear View drawers contain
miscellaneous
crafting supplies. They have my paints, ribbon, candle wax, large foam
stamps, clay, etc. Wrapping, contact and cellophane paper rolls are in
a storage cart in the corner. |

Closet
The closet is re-born. It is
amazing how
much stuff you can fit in a closet when you have shelves right where
you
want them. The closet contains my catalogs, magazines, dried flowers,
and
more misc. craft supplies. |
