Stamping on Acetate
Brilliance Ink:
You can stamp on Any acetate with Brilliance ink. You must watch that
you don't allow the stamp to slide as you stamp it. This ink will take
anywhere from 1/2 hour to overnight to dry depending on humidity,
temperature and material stamped on. You can speed up this process with
a hair dryer or if you are using heat resistant acetate, your heat gun.
When you are heating, watch how close you get the heat gun to the
acetate. Heat resistant acetate will distort if the gun is placed too
close to the acetate. If you smudge the image you can erase the ink
with water and start again. This ink will air dry on acetate and is
fairly durable, but it is not permanent unless it is heat set.
Memories Ink
You can stamp on heat resistant acetate with Memories ink. You must
watch
that you don't allow the stamp to slide as you stamp it. Once the image
is stamped you must heat the image with a heat gun to set the ink. When
you are heating, watch how close you get the heat gun to the acetate.
Heat
resistant acetate will distort if the gun is placed too close to the
acetate.
If you smudge the image you can erase the ink with rubbing alcohol and
start again.
Permanent Ink
You can stamp on Any
acetate with Permanent ink. You must watch that you don't allow the
stamp to slide as you stamp it. This ink dries almost instantaneously.
You must work very quickly with this ink. If you smudge the image you
can erase the ink with rubbing alcohol and start again.
Pigment Ink and Embossing powder
You can stamp on heat resistant acetate with Pigment ink and emboss.
When
you are embossing, watch how close you get the heat gun to the acetate.
Heat resistant acetate will distort if the gun is placed too close to
the
acetate. This ink stamps very easily on the acetate, but is not very
durable.
It is easy to rub off the embossing if the piece is handled a lot.
